The annual awards dinner for 2402 Burghfield squadron got off to a flying start, after having waited nearly a year to restructure the squadron. The cadets joined by parents and members of the committee, dined formally followed by speeches and a number of promotions and presentations. Then everyone let their hair down as the parents, committee, staff and cadets all joined in to the music, making the whole evening another memorable event in the calendar.
Guests, included Mrs Shelagh Frost, wife of the former Air Commodore Jack Frost and senior members of the Burghfield and district Royal British Legion. The continued liaison with local associations is growing from strength to strength and placing 2402 Burghfield Squadron as a prominent force within the community. The air cadets lead in, driving a cohesive link within the community with supported appearances at various village events.
The next major appearance will be at the Burghfield May Fayre and throughout the summer, with displays by 2402 Burghfield squadron Band.
