Finalists for Thrive Awards Announced

The finalists for the Thames Valley Wing Thrive Awards have now been announced. The Awards fall into the following categories and all nominations came from their peers.

Outstanding Civilian Instructor – The person who has made the most outstanding contribution over the past year.
Ambassador – The individual or team who through the virtue of hard work, character and representation have raised the profile of the ATC.
Valiant Volunteer – For consistent and extraordinary efforts in helping others, above and beyond the call of duty.
Unsung Hero – The individual whose contribution often goes unnoticed but without it their Squadron would fail to deliver the effect it achieves.
Top Team Award – awarded to the group (informal or formal) that has achieved the greatest positive impact.

The finalists for Outstanding Civilian Instructor are:

  • Civilian Instructor Mark Gray  – 1996 (Earley) Squadron
  • Civilian Instructor Neil Parramore – 2477 (Britwell) Squadron
  • Civilian Instructor Kate Randall – 2403 (Aldermaston) Squadron

The finalists for the Ambassador are:

  • Civilian Instructor Caroline Beardsley – 1861 (Wantage) Squadron
  • Cadet Sergeant Danielle Dawson – 2410 (Didcot) Squadron
  • Cadet Warrant Officer Joseph Palmer – 1315 (Kidlington) Squadron

The finalists of the Valiant Volunteer category are:

  • Civilian Instructor Teresa Archer – 2267 (Brize Norton) Squadron
  • Officer Cadet Luke Baker – 153 (Slough) Squadron
  • Flying Officer Jane Wicks – 2410 (Didcot) Squadron

The finalists of the Unsung Hero category are:

  • Flight Lieutenant (Ret’d) Ian Broadbridge – 2120 (Witney) Squadron
  • Sergeant Alice Pye – 211 (Newbury) Squadron
  • Warrant Officer Daniel Twigg – 1116 (Woodley) Squadron

The finalists in the Top team category are:

  • 2267 (Brize Norton) Squadron Staff Team
  • Thames Valley Wing Road Marching Team
  • TASER
