Witney – ‘Through difficulties to honours’
At the start of the year, the Squadron had a full and busy calendar of activities to look forward to through 2020. Unfortunately, the impact of COVID-19 has prevented us from doing these activities though everyone on Squadron knows that this is the correct thing to do to protect each other and the NHS.
However, our Squadron crest bears the motto ‘Ad Augusta per angusta’, which translates from Latin to English as ‘Through difficulties to honours’ and so we remember this as we change the method of training delivery with the staff facing the difficulties in order to ensure the Cadets can be honoured with continued training.

On Thursday 24th of April 2507 (Bicester) Squadron ran virtual parade night. We talked about the RAF’s involvement in Disaster Relief, what aid/relief is needed following a natural disaster and the cadets were then tasked with making a lander for an egg. It was amazing to see so many cadets take part in our drop challenge. We saw Egg Sheeran, Billie Egglish, Meggan Shelly, Ed the egg and Bobby all survive, and that’s just to name a few. Great to see everyone getting creative and having fun. Could you survive the egg drop?
Clap for Carers and NHS

We did this to say thank you to all the hard working; carers, doctors, nurses and other workers within the NHS, that are putting themselves in risk to help those with Covid-19.
