Cadets received certificate for completing training courses and also two being promoted to cadet corporal having successfully completed leadership and Junior NCO training courses.

Visit to the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue
Putting the air into Air Cadets! We had an excellent visit to the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service station on Rewley Road. A big thank you to our hosts for showing us the important work they do to keep the community safe.
Blue Wings for Cowley
Cadets from 2210 Cowley Squadron were hosted by 622 Volunteer Gliding Squadron at Little Rissington which saw three of our cadets obtain their blue gliding wings!
Cowley take a walk
On Sunday the 8th of May cadets from Cowley Squadron came out in force to support the Royal British Legions Poppy Walk, a 10 mile walk through the Oxfordshire countryside near Wantage.
Junior Leaders Course Success
150 Squadron enjoy the countryside
On Saturday the 19th of March 150 Squadron cadets and adult volunteers undertook a day walk out in the Oxfordshire countryside. They had a great day out with five cadets using the walk to consolidate the expedition and adventure training skills to achieve the finish their first class cadet training.
Project night at Wallingford
Another busy evening at the 966 Wallingford Squadron! Project night for the cadets, including aero modelling and learning how to make games using coding and microbits.
Cycling for Charity
On Saturday the 5th of March cadet Flight Sergeant Herman Van Rooyen of 594 Thame Squadron cycled from Aylesbury to John Thornton’s old Air cadet squadron in Dorset. He is raising money for JTYAF charity (https://www.jtyaf.org/) because in his words “they are such an amazing foundation that have done so such to help young people achieve their dreams.”
He cycled to J.Thornton’s old air cadet squadron because he wanted to push himself physically and show people that with commitment and resilience you can achieve anything.
Awards for cadets at Cowley Squadron
A large crop of awards were earned by cadets of 2210 Cowley Squadron. It’s excellent to see these young people achieve recognition for the new skills they have learned!
Wantage Parade
Today staff and cadets from 12410 (Didcot) Sqn took part in the 80th anniversary of the Air Training Corps and Centenary of the Royal British Legion parade in Wantage.
Volunteers and cadets then joined in the Royal British Legion sponsored Poppy Walk in Ardington.
