2267 (Brize Norton) Sqn recently had the opportunity for a tour around one of the few VC-10 K3 aircraft based out of RAF Brize Norton. The K3 is a dedicated multi-role tanker, capable of refuelling large (transport fleet) and small (fast jet) aircraft of the Royal Air Force and of multi-national forces.
Cadets were given a guided tour around the outside and inside of the aircraft by a member of crew including the opportunity to sit up front in the cockpit and have basic controls and effects explained to them in detail, bringing to life elements of their training syllabus. 2267 Sqn are extremely appreciative of the opportunity extended to them by 101 Sqn and thank Flt Lt Booth for taking the time to explain the aircraft controls and functions to everyone.
