Civilian Instructor Darren Kidley has been awarded a commendation by Commander in Chief Air Command, Air Chief Marshal Simon Bryant at a recent ceremony to honour 29 service and civilian personnel.
Darren who works as a civilian at RAF Benson, in addition to his duties with 594 (Thame) Squadron, was awarded The Personal Commendation of Commander in Chief Air Command for his efforts to significantly reduce the lead time for the delivery of essential spare parts for the helicopters at the Oxfordshire base.
Air Chief Marshal Bryant presented a total of 5 Commendations, 25 medals, a Meritorious Service Medal, and a Queen’s Warrant to Service and Civilian personnel for their work at RAF Benson in the largest ceremony held in the Officers’ Mess in recent years.
