Today 1861 cadets and adult volunteers have spent the day at RAF Brize Norton visiting No 47 Squadron and were lucky enough to have a flight in a C130J Hercules.
2121 Abingdon Squadron bids farewell to Warrant Officer Morley who started his Air Cadet career as a cadet at 2121 Squadron and then continued his service with the RAF Air Cadets at age 20 as a cadet forces adult volunteer. WO Morley has held a number of roles within Thames Valley Wing ranging from drill instructor to First Aid Instructor.
Cadets and adult volunteers from 594 Thame Squadron visited the Imperial War Museum Midlands located at RAF Cosford as part of their training programme for the BTEC in Aerospace Studies and looking at the history of the Cold War.
June saw 966 Squadron enjoy some downtime for the cadet and enjoy an evening of bowling.
Cadets from 2210 Colwey Squadron celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee by playing the national anthem before friends and family. 2210 Squadron hosted Wing Commander Colin Burrell, Officer Commanding Thames Valley Wing RAFAC and Flight Lieutenant Lewis Quilter from RAF Benson.
