Witney Squadron Make a Return

Very cautiously and very carefully, we are BACK! On Tuesday, 20th October 2020, we did the first of five inductions planned to return our Cadets in their new, smaller flights and familiarise them with the new building layout and procedures introduced to make (and keep) us a COVID safe environment.

Radio and Cyber Success

During the recent lock down period, Thames Valley Wing of the RAF Air Cadets moved to using online platforms to continue activities for our cadets. 217 of our air cadets have completed radio communications and cyber security training courses during this time and we even trained 10 adult volunteers as instructors.

The radio communications and cyber security training is highly beneficial to the cadets, as it improves their knowledge of cyber security, social media safety and how to protect themselves and their devices from malware and viruses. Continue reading

Aldermaston Virtual Parade Nights

With face to face activities suspended 2403 (Aldermaston) Squadron are turning to virtual parade nights and encouraging the building or aircraft models as a means to learn about aircraft and their history and in some case what the future could hold…

Brize Norton Carry On Training

Although face to face activities are suspended, 2267 (Brize Norton) Squadron are continuing to train cadets in map reading during their virtual parade nights so they are ready for when activities resume and continue their Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions and other adventure training activities.
